Taddea Meyer DeVries was buried in Ebenezer Reformed Church Cemetery, Rockvale Twp., Ogle Co., IL
To all our friends, relatives and acquaintances we bring the sad news that it has pleased Almighty God to call out of time into eternity, my dear wife, our mother and grandmother, Taddea deVries [Meyer].
She was born on March 19, 1840 in Visquard, Ostfriesland and died on January 6, 1910. She reached the age of 69 years, 9 months and 17 days. She was ill 3 years with breast cancer.
She entered into marriage on April 18, 1886 with Jakob deVries. This marriage was blessed with 3 sons and 3 daughters. A son and daughter preceded their mother in death.
She came with her family to America in 1881 and lived in the vicinity of Bryon and Oregon, Illinois.
Her burial service took place on January 9 with many in attendance. Her burial was in the cemetery of the Ebenezer Church where she was a member. Pastor Diethoft preached a funeral a sermon on Joshua 1:5.
The sorrowing husband brings this notice.
