Rosalie B. Austin, a 38-year school teacher in the Hardin County, Ill., school system, died Oct. 14, 2001 at Eldorado Care Center in Eldorado, Ill.
Austin, 77, was a member of First Baptist Church of Cave In Rock, the Eastern Star Lodge No. 1022 in Cave In Rock and was active in the Cave In Rock Lions Club.
Survivors include her husband, Hansel Austin of Cave In Rock; a daughter, Theressa Austin of Cave In Rock; four sisters, Tracy Dyer of Plymouth, Mich., Mavis V. Angleton of Edwardsville, Ill., Bernice Austin of Elizabethtown, Ill., and Eureta DeWitt of Roseville, Calif.; and a brother, Ira T. "Spud" Blakely of Yucca,

Funeral services were held Oct. 17 at Rose-Gilbert Funeral Home in Cave In Rock with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
