Mary Lee Banks, age 72, of Jackson, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2001 at her home due to a long illness. Born February 27, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Buford and Dovie Poe Puckett and the wife of Hargis Banks. She was a homemaker and a member of the Free Pentecostal Church of God at Kragon.
Survivors include her husband, Hargis Banks of Jackson;
three daughters, Edith and Herschell Wininger of Richmond, KY, Rose and Carl Wayne McIntosh of Jackson, and Wanda and John Bolze of Somerset, KY;
five sons, Troy and Francine Banks of Jackson, James and Jean Banks of Clay City, KY, Paul Douglas and Ruby Banks of Statesville, NC, Larry and Pat Banks and Eddie and Jocie Banks all of Jackson;
six sisters, Bert Howard of Cincinnati, OH, Nora Sparks of Cincinnati, OH, Dottie Peskin of Dayton, OH, Alice Miller of Dayton, OH, Ethel Dunn of Marion, OH and Nancy Ruth Davis of Marion, OH;
two brothers, James Puckett of Ruth, NV and Rodney Puckett of Indiana;
16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Arthur Puckett.
Funeral services were Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at 2 P.M. at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Bellamy and Rev. Fred Finley. Burial followed in the Jackson Cemetery. Pallbearers were gransons and grandsons-in-law.
Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
