Searching for the family of Maria Pacheco Padilla GARRARD and Luther BRAWNER and their descendants. They moved from Clay Co, KY to either PARKER or STEPHENS Co, TX. Trying to find them in the 1850 through the 1880 census. Thanks.

1. Maria Pacheco Padilla Garrard, born 13 Dec 1815 in Union Salt Works, Clay, KY. She married on 17 Nov 1831 in , Clay, KY, Luther Brawner, born 1812.

!BOOKS AND PUBLICATIONS: 'The Manchester Guardian', 18 Nov 1932, 'History of Clay Co', 'Also in the period From 1850 to 1860 there had been considerable migration of people leaving Clay County for different sections of the West. Among those were a company of several families led by Luther Browner who settled in the new state of Texas along with him went his son-in-law John E. White and his wife.'
'The Manchester Guardian', 2 Dec 1932, 'History of Clay Co', letter from Mariah P. Brawner to her daughter, Elizabeth (written at the start of the Civil War), from Fugitive's Retreat, Parken Co, Texas. Maria is clarly pro South and is shocked that brother Theo is about to fight against the South. She describes the threat from Indians, and clearly wishes her daughter, Elizabeth, was back in Texas.
