MADISONVILLE, Ky. — Gerald Richard Ray, 83, died Nov. 15, 2009, at the Madisonville Regional Medical Center.
He worked for Texas Gas, was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Surviving are daughters, Elaine Hunter, Jeanette Seats, Phyllis Winstead, Mary Browder, Anita Ray and Cheryl Ray-Estrada; sons, Thomas, James, Steven, Michael, Gerald, Kenny and Joseph; sister, Wilma Whelan; 23 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services 10 a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, burial in St. Martin Church Cemetery in Meade County. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer services, and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to his church.
