Who was Johnie Sturgill? I know he was an ORB (Old Regular Baptist) preacher. I have his picture in a composite of 14 ministers, and the composite was compiled around 1930. It has the caption, "Blessed Are They Who Die in the Lord." There is a record of a John H. Sturgill who represented Cane Patch Baptist at a meeting of Three Forks Association in 1891. Was this the same man? Where was he a pastor? Did he have a family?
