Of the Bucks County immigrants I left out Arndt Althaus, arriving in Phila on Oct 17, 1749 on the ship Fane who is talked about on page 340 in "History of Bucks County" by Ely and Jordan. Apparently Arndt Althouse and Anna Maria had Daniel baptised March 4, 1753. This is the only child mentioned in the article. This is the Daniel I mention in the previous query. He was married twice. First to Anna Maria Michel and on June 29, 1783 to Julianna Schwenck. He died in an accident Dec 16, 1795 (these last two sentences of information are from the Tohickan Records as published by Dr. Rev. Hincke for the Pa German Society.) The death date is confirmed by the Ely and Jordan entry. In the the Ely and Jordan article the children of these two marriages are listed I believe incorrectly. For the first marriage they have Maria, Frederick, Abraham, Conrad, Michael, Jacob, and Rebecca. For the second marriage they have listed Isaac, Elia., Daniel, Martin, and George. Based on Dr. Hincke's recordings I find that Conrad and Michael are from the second marriage and Eliz, Daniel, and Martin are from the first marriage. Michael Althouse was my GGGgrandfather who married Susannah Magel on August 27, 1815. The Ely and Jordan article is actually about Elmer E. Althouse who was the editor and proprietor of the "Sellersville Herald". and a descendant of Arndt by Danial by Frederick by Milton.
Now I have contradicted Ely and Jordan. Is there anyone who can confirm my findings or set me straight?
Does anyone know about the Maugel, Magel, Mackel line. I have Susannah Magel born June 10, 1793 (my GGGgrandmother) and died June 1, 1848 as the daughter of Daniel and Maria Magel(Maugel) who died at the age of 84 years, 8 months on Nov. 9, 1843 putting his birth about 1759?
