I have a little info. on the Aiosi Family They apparently came from Italy and settled in the New Orleans area. From what I found the name was changed to Ayo by the catholic church in Chacahoula, La. Which in my birth place. The church is known for doing this. My name was changed by the spanish in New Orleans. Original spelling was Ayaud on the ship documents, There were two Aiosis that I found in the early 1900. Salvadore J. Ayo Sr. B.17 Jul. 1912 in N.O. Died 25 Dec 1981 in Marrero La. Buried 26 Dec. 1981 In. New Orleans. Son of: Anthonino & Jennie Innazzio. Married 9 Feb.1934 in St. Bernard,La. to Hazel L. Escude, Born around 1911 in N.O. Daughter of Alfred & Margaret Schnyder. Children: Shirley Mae & Salvadore Jr. Salvadore was cremated. Next one was Salvatoria Figlia Aiosi. Born 14 Aug. 1908 Baptised 22 Aug. 1908 in Thibodaux, La. Parents: Vincenzo & Marianna Champagne. Also Jennie Innazzio Married Hugh J.Calder & Anthony Ayo she had one son with Anthony . Joseph Vincent B. 28 Oct 1915 N.O. Mar.21 Dec 1940 St Bernard,La. to Hazel Gause B. abt 1922 D/o Morris & Florence Kelly .Div.2 mar. 1943. 2rd. wife Clara Mae Slade B.11May 1923 Mississippi.D/O Nathan & Betty Wheat. Child: Nathan Paul, B. 1944.Div. 12 May 1950 N.O. 3rd. Wife Emelda Marie Danterive B. 13 Jul. 1921 N.O. D/O Milton & Hazel Bradberry.
Salvadore Joseph Jr. B. 12 Aug. 1942. Married Sylvia Ann Hillard had one son Rick Nelson.
2 rd Marriage 11 Jun 1961 N.O. to Alice Cook had two Ch. Rose Fay B.1963 & Tracy Ann B. 1964.
3rd Marriage Charlotte Ann Burger. B.14 Aug. 1951 Alabama. D/O William D. & Daisy Henderson.
Rick Nelson Ayo B.11Apr. 1967 N.O. Married Mary Ann Madere 11 Mar 1989 in Norco,La. Born 6 Aug 1967 D/O Donald & Barbara Faucheaux.
Nathan Paul Married Theria Joan Parker. Daughter Wanda Ann B. 13 Mar 1963 married 24 May 1980 in Chalmette,La. to Shannon Thimothy Cochran S/O Charles Hugh Jr. & Carol Ann Anderson B.16 Mar.1962.
Tracy Ann married Francisco Dominico Spione on 11 Sept. 1987 N.O. had a son Anthony Lee B. 14 Sept. 1989.
Shirley Mae married Tom Philip Fury B. 23 Oct. 1936 N.O. S/O Nicholan J. Sr. & Mazell Spence ( probably Hazel not Mazell ????) married 16 Nov. 1957 Chalmette, La. Children Cindy Sue & Lori Lynn. Shirly divorced 2 Dec. 1964 N.O. and Married J. Dunlap on 9 Sept 1965.
I have some info. on Nathan Paul but could not find it. Lives in the Covington La. area I believe. Father lives in Calif.
Most of the Aiosi Family live in Texas I stopped doing research on this line since it is not part of my family.
