CATRON (Bondurant) Thelma "Tootie" Joanna Bondurant Catron was born April 20, 1938 and departed this life on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the age of 74.
Thelma Catron was a graduate of East High, West Virginia State, and The Ohio State University.
She was also an avid member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority.
She was preceded in death by her father Alexander (Sonny) Bondurant, beloved husband Cecil A. Catron, brother Walter Bondurant.
Thelma leaves to mourn her passing, beloved son, Brandon (Pamala) Catron of Laurel, MD; granddaughter, Brandy (Maurice) Catron-Wells; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Wells; loving mother, Thelma Bondurant; sister, Evelyn Johnson; brother, Donald Bondurant; step-daughter, Kathy Julius (Ed) Buckley of Chicago, IL; favorite niece, Kimberly Johnson; aunt, Rosetta Hall; nephews, Terrance and James (Ida) Johnson; close friends, Joyce and Reverend Napoleon Key, Winifred and Marva Stone, Margie Banks, and Lorene Campbell Byrd; a host of loving cousins, friends, neighbors, and AKA sorority sisters.
Funeral 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall, 2500 McCutcheon Rd., where family will receive friends from 12Noon until the time of service. Brother Menthorn Williams, Speaker.
