Dr. E. H. Coolbaugh Died In The Woods
Body of Well Known West Side Dentist Found Near Harvey's Lake
Stricken with apoplexy and claimed by death before aid could reach him, the body of Dr. E. H. Coolbaugh, of Kingston, was found lying in the woods at Harvey's Lake last evening,
whither he had gone earlier in the day to hunt game.
On Monday Dr. and Mrs. Coolbaugh and Mr. and Mrs. H. H.
Holmes and son Jones went to the lake, the men intending to
spend a few days fishing and hunting, the party staying at
the Coolbaugh cottage.
Notwithstanding that he suffered from cramps, Dr. Coolbaugh
started out between 4 and 5 o'clock last evening on a short hunting trip. Not returning at the appointed time, Geo.
Holmes and Simeon Lewis started out to search for him and
within a short time came across his body.
Deceased was 56 years of age and was one of the West Side's
most prominent dentists.
He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Miss Emily
Coolbaugh; also the following brothers: George Coolbaugh, of Jackson; Myrtle(?) Coolbaugh, of Dallas; Irwin Coolbaugh,
of Forty Fort; and one sister, Mrs. W. C. Johnson, of
Trucksville.
Dr Coolbaugh was a devout member of the Kingston Methodist
Episcopal Church and was also a member of Kingston Conclave, No. 240, Improved Ored of Heptasophs.
The funeral will take place on Friday morning with services
at the home at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Dr. Murdock,
presiding elder, Rev. Mr. Nicholson, pastor of the Kingston
M. E. Church and Rev. Dr. Sprague, of Wyoming Seminary.
Interment will take place at Shickshinny, the funeral party
leaving on the 11:08 D. L. & W. train.
