I am looking for connections to my Dryden family.

Thomas Dryden "gent" is listed as the father of James Dryden on the
marriage certificate of James Dryden and Hannah Hartley, (formerly Avey),
November 12, 1840, St Mary, Lambeth, Surrey. James was a chemist and
later a licensed victualler and then a commercial traveller.

The son of James and Hannah Dryden was James Francis Dryden, born June
24, 1842 in Greenwich, Kent, England.

James Francis married Mary Kenyon in Sheffield England about 1872. Their
son was Thomas Frank Dryden born April 17, 1885, Rushall, Staffordshire,
England. I do have a little information about the life of Thomas Frank
and of his siblings.

I have very little information about these Dryden's except family lore
that says they may have been bakers or grocers in the London area
(Lambeth?) in the 1900's. I do know that there was a George and a
William Dryden in Lambeth at the time that James was married there in
1840 but I do not know if they are related. Are there any Dryden
cousins out there?

I was always told that these Drydens were second cousins or some such
relation to the poet John Dryden but have no idea if that was fact or
fiction.

Thanks
