I'm the adopted son (5/12/1976) of Allan August Filek (3/9/44) and Judith Elizabeth Filek (2/12/45). My father was named after the Allan August of Chicago noted in another post.

I now reside in Rochester, NY and have a daughter Corrina Ophelia Filek (2/19/01). To my knowledge we are the only Fileks in this town. I find it interesting that there are distant relatives in Buffalo and Canada. Would be open to correspond.

I do have a recent family tree of the midwestern Filek lineage if anyone is interested. It's not digital so it would take some work to get it to you online, but I would be open to posting it if it could be valuable.

It's a rare name and since the death of my grandparents in the past 2 years I have learned a great deal about the family history.
