He married ELIZABETH MULL 17 Dec 1782 in Lincoln Co., North Carolina, daughter of JOHN MULL and ANNA ANTHONY. She was born 09 Jul 1766 in Burke Co., North Carolina, and died 16 Mar 1854 in Burke Co., North Carolina.

According to the records at the DAR, Conrad Hildebrand furnished vital war materials and supplies to the patriot cause and was in Colonel Joseph McDowell's Division in the march from Morganton to Gilbert Town and on to Kings Mountain for battle of the same name in the Rev. War.

Notes for JOHANNES [JOHN] HILDEBRAND:
John Hildebrand came to old Carroll Co., Georgia as a surveyor when the land was first opened to white settlement . The Hildebrand homeplace was on what is now Brewer Road in the NW corner of Douglas County, Georgia. The family burial ground is across the road and contains approximately 15 graves, including those of John, his wife Anna, and their son Isaac Newton Hildebrand who died in the Atlanta campaign, July 20, 1864.
