Here is what I have reasonably solidly about
my own family from County Carlow. In addition
I have appended a summary of information I
supplied recently to Mike Scott of Philadephia,
who also has a Pilson connection in
Carlow/Wicklow area.

1744 Margaret Davis leaves a house in Hacketstown to her daughter, Jane PILLSON.
1760 Robert PILSON [of Kilcarney] is born
1783 Esther (later to become wife of the above Robert PILSON) is born
1798 Robert PILSON of Kilcarney claims compensation for the loss of his house and a mare during the 1798 rebellion
1803 A William PILSON is referred to in the Hacketstown vestry minute book
1805 Elizabeth PILSON, daughter of Robert PILSON and Esther, is born (in Kilcarney?)
c. 1806 Richard PILSON of Kilcarney dies and leaves a will [unfortunately this will is no longer
c. 1815 A Richard PILSON (later buried in Hacketsown) is born
c. 1815 An Edward PILSON (later buried in Hacketstown) is born
1824 Robert PILSON of Kilcarney, Co. Wicklow, dies on December 4 aged 64 years and is buried in Hacketstown cemetery

ancestor William PILSON occupied land in Barnhill and Waterstown Townlands, Rathvilly,
Co. Carlow (6-7 miles from Kilcarney)
1857 Esther (wife of the late Robert PILSON of Kilcarney) dies on June 21 aged 74 years and is
buried in Hacketstown cemetery
1858 Edward ROBERTS joins the RIC
1863 Richard PILSON (son of William PILSON and Helena Maria RYAN and ancestor of Bruce
Ralston) marries
1864 Helena Maria RYAN dies and is buried at Rathvilly, Co. Carlow
1875 William PILSON of Barnhill (second husband of Helena Maria RYAN) dies
Post 1877 A Richard PILSON and an Edward PILSON are buried in Hacketstown

I would be interested to hear from you about
other PILSON references in the south of
Ireland, especially Carloew and Wicklow, but
I have also found several references in
County Cork as well.
