my wards mary eliabeth and john.b. were in tex 1830's they died there .john younger brother william and my g grandmother mary ann suvived them.i'm trying to find out the names of mary e. and john ward .they were from n.c. or ten. if you have any info let me know.if your a black and your family were from the old south you are most likly from this same family.the cherokee's often took captives and later married them into the tribe.and there were even a few who had slaves much like the whites did.except that i'm told it was a deadth penalty if anyone harmed them. let me know when your people were in tex. jackie
