To Frederick Carl: My grandmother's maiden name was Mary Geske. She was born in the l880's and died in l969. She had a sister named Rose and 3 brothers, Frank, August, and John. I'm positive there was August, but not positive if there were two or three brothers. They lived in the southwest Mi. area. That's all I know right now.

My great-grandfather was Albert Frand Geske from Austria. He lived in Wisconsin and was a cheese maker. Married to Ida Caroline Punzel in 1892. He was born in 1872 and died in 1940 and is buried in Breckenridge, Texas. Any connection?

I have a grandfather, Frederick Carl Miller, born in Crestline, OH in 1878. Married Grace Boice in Galion, OH. He died in Galion in 1973. He never mentioned parents or ancestors except to say they came from Germany with the names Muller and/or Mueller (WW I) discouraged German names in the US. Any connection?

Deb:

I too am seeking information on a Geske family. I'm looking in specific for a Geske, of whom I was told was named Henry. He also had two brothers, a Frank and John, and a sister named Mary. I don't have much information on them, other than 'Henry' having fathered two children with a woman nnamed Minnie Meyer in Dunn County WI in 1902 (They were twin boys named Leonard and Howard) I also have an old photograph of Frank, John and Mary Geske when they were approximately in their late teens or early twenties. They were born in the late 1870's, and early 1980. The names and dates are pretty close. Might there be a connection?
