Surnames: Call, Chall
arrives NYC on May 8, 1871. I, for the life of me, cannot find any mention of this ship sailing this particular year besides what it says on the NYC passenger listings. Anyone have any ideas where else to look? The German immigrant ship listings don’t list the ship for that year.

My great grand parents departed from Bremen, Germany on the S.S. Bremen. They arrived in NY on June 1871. Thats about all I know or could find on a manifest. Do you have any idea how I can find other information? Or does any one else have any suggestions?
Thank you.. Kathy

Could you tell me where to find such information? My Great Great Grandparents immigrated from Bremen, Germany on the S.S. Bremen to the Port of New York, which was Castle Garden. They arrived here June 15, 1871. (Ellis Island did not open until about 1890)
Any information would be helpful...

I would check the book mentioned on August 2012 for reference, 1868-1871

It would also help if you would name your gggparents so maybe someone can look them up that has access to these immigration records
names
ages
travel companions

I have the same problem... except my ancestors arrived June 15, 1871 in the port of NY... all I have to go by is part of a ship manifest. They came over on the SS Bremen from Bremen, Germany
