I have searched around for a long time to find one of you boys since Joe and America have both gone. I guess I didn't look under my nose. I was told that you had moved away from here.
I am Nancy (Eatherton) Lillie. My mom is Lucille (Eatherton) Bennett. I have two sisters, Lynn (Ferguson) and Marjorie (Eatherton). I don't expect you to remember me from East Peoria, but that is where I was born and lived for awhile. I am the youngest of the 3 of us girls and I live in Canton.
I was baptised in the St.Boniface Church in Peoria in 1960 and your dad and mom was my godparents. I knew them very well as a child. I remember the Wild Goose well and went to visit Joe there often. I just don't have anything from that part of my life. No pictures, nothing. Joe was a part of my life that I could never forget and I do remember you from living close to my Aunt Mildred Hosbrough.
Thank you for writing to me. I guess what I'm asking here is that I would like a little more history and to see if I could get a picture of him or a picture of Joe and America.
This may seem strange, but it's important to me.
I don't have your email address, so I had to go through this message board to get back in contact with you. My email address is: if you care to write back.
Thank you again.
Nancy Lillie

Dear Nancy Lillie,

I was looking through and I came across your message. Mildred Hosbrough is my Grandma. Maybe we're related? My name is Misty Hosbrough, Martin Hosbrough is my father. Please feel free to write me back at

Martin Hosbrough

Yes we are related. Your grandmother is my Aunt. My father is Grover "Bud" Eatherton, which was Aunt Mildred's brother. Alpha Watson was my grandmother. Unfortunately, I believe, somehow I am the black sheep. So I don't believe that my name would be the most popular name to "drop" at your house.... not for sure. Marty and I were buddies when I was young, he was one of the few that put up with my non-stop talking!! I did see your Uncle Doug at a visitation just recently and we had a nice talk.
If I can be of any help to you if you are searching genealogy let me know. I have some research done on the Eatherton side of the family if you are looking.

I wrote back to you some time back and I didn't hear anything else from you. I'm sorry if I said anything to upset you.
Thanks....Nancy Lillie

Hi Nancy! Last I knew, you were not at all a "black sheep" in our family. I'd love to hear from you! I assume you remember spending some time (usually during the Wisconsin State High School Rodeo) at our place.
