I am looking for information regarding a Burrel or Beryl Jones b. 1832. Some reports I have found suggest he was born in Greene, Tennessee however a 1900 census record belonging to his son Charles (Charley) B. Jones lists his father born in Kentucky. His date of death is 1880 in Indiana. He was married to a Nancy (Eppard) Sowers 19 Sep 1861 in Clay County, Indiana. Nancy was born 1828 or 1835. Again, some reports lists her POB as Seelyville, Vigo, Indiana but the same 1900 census record for her son lists her POB as Ohio. I know of one child born to this union, Charles B. Jones b. 28 Mar 1863 Lost Creek, Vigo, Indiana. I am most interested in finding the parents of Burrel/Beryl. Any information would be helpful.

Hi Connie,

Thanks for the information. I had considered these possibilities. I agree that the Burrel that married Rebecca and Sarah are the same man, as some of the children match on both census records. It's one of those surnames that make us bang our heads as it's so common and often hard to trace. Thanks for your help.
