I'd appreciate seeing any documentation that can corroborate, correct or add to what's shown below.

James Lennon was born around 1796 in Ireland, died in 1867 and is buried at Freedom, Outagamie County, Wisconsin. He appears to have brought part of his family to this country around 1849 and the rest to Outagamie County in 1852. He married Mary, b in Ireland around 1805. There may have been other children besides these:

a) James Lennon b ca 1835 in Ireland, m Catherine Bellew in 1855. Civil War soldier. (A 2nd Lt James Lennon served in Co H, 12th Wisconsin Inf.) Justice of Peace at Appleton WI. Children: Mary A. born in 1856; Maggie 1858; Rose 1860; James 1862; John H. 1866; George E. 1868; William P. 1870; Catherine S. 1872; (Lallie?, Callie?) M. 1874; Lizzie L. 1876; Frank M. 1879.

b) Patrick Lennon b ca 1836 in Ireland, m Johanna b ca 1842. One Patrick Lennon ran for sheriff of Outagamie Co in 1880; served also as country treasurer. The name Patrick Lennon appears as a private in Co H, 10th WI Inf, during the Civil War.

possibly c) Anna Lennon, b Mar 1838 Ireland, according to the 1900 census; age listed as 39 in 1880. Married John Williamson/Willemsen.

d) Michael Lennon b ca 1842 Ireland, d 1862.

possibly e) Catherine Lennon, b ca 1846 reportedly in County Westmeath, Ireland, d 1904, m Patrick McLaughlin. They were living next door to James Lennon (Jr.) at Freedom in 1870.

In addition to James, Patrick, Ann, Michael and Catherine, another possible child of James and Mary Lennon was a Mary Lennon who married a Mr. Garvey. A submission to the WorldConnect Project claims his first name was John, but a message at the Garvey Gen Forum says it was William Garvey.

On the page next to James and Mary Lennon on the 1860 census at Freedom, Outagamie Co WI, is the household of William (b ca 1825) and Mary Garvey (b ca 1832). They were both listed as born in Ireland. Names and approximate birth years of children, all born in Wisconsin, from 1860-80 censuses:

Bridget 1852, John 1853, Mary A. 1855, Ann 1858, Catherine 1859, James 1863, Marcella 1866, Ellen 1868.

I am great, great grandson of James and Mary through their son Patrick line. I am trying to find date of death and burial location for both Mary (wife of James above) and their son Patrick. I believe they are both in Outagamie County, WI but can't seem to find them. Thanks for any info.

They are probably buried in St. Nicholas cemetery in Freedom, Wisconsin. I believe you could make a request to the archives of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay to check on this.
