Did Gilbert Horton's relatives migrate to Lenawee Co.,MI? I found a older Gilbert in this area. My Ggggrandfather was Everett William Horton b1820,NY has a son also named Gilbert. Its worth a shot to explore this as my ancestors came from this same area in NY. Terry, Sweazy and the Horton are a few of the surnames. Thanks for listening.

Pat,
Thanks for the information. I suppose it's possible there is a connection somewhere although the surnames aren't ones I've come up with. Our Gilbert was born in 1823, lived in Sag Harbor, moved to Pelham, NY at some point. He died in New London, Ct. 1893 while staying with his son & daughter-in-law. He was sent back to Pelham for burial. Can't find where yet. Thanks for responding. Kathy
