My father's name is Norman Leroy Dunn, born Jan 9, 1926 in Missouri. That is about all I know about him. How do I get his birth certificate if I don't know what county he is from. I haven't seen or heard from him since I was a baby except when I was 8 yrs old...when he tried to kidnap me. My mother is deceased and didn't tell me much.
Go to your nearest mormon church with a family history center--get a photocopy of the request form for Missouri--
and send it to the address on the form. Could enclose a copy of your birth certificate for proof. Births are state wide at that date.
I have an Edith Dunn, married in Cambridge, Maryland to Lay Marshall, also of Cambridge. Marriage date: 7 Feb 1894. Her age is not listed on the marriage record I have.
Children: Ralph Richard Marshall, b. 30 Sept 1894, and Edith Marshall, DOB and married name unknown. Have more info on Ralph's descendants if interested. I also know she was Baptist. Currently trying to track down more information on her and her husband.

Do you have any old Dunn photos?
Don't know if this will help. I have a James Dunn who married Emeline Hurst in 1852 Cambridge, MD. I believe. They had atleast one daughter named Amanda. Maybe Amanda has siblings. Could James and Emeline be your Dunn's parents also?
I have an Amanda Dunn who married Solomon J. Frazier Jun. 3, 1875 in Dorchester County Maryland. Amanda's parents were James Dunn and Emeline Hurst also of Dorchester County I believe..
I kept seeing your message and so I thought I would look around:

Alice R Dunn age 24 born Iowa
Norman L Dunn age 4 4/12 born Missouri
