The only Permelia I find is Mildred Permelia GOLDING who m. a GRIFFIN. They had at least two children - Elizabeth b. ca. 1774 and Edmund b. ca. 1776. They lived in 96th Dist. in SC. Maybe the Permelia who married Hiram HARDIN is a descendant of the above Permelia.

Did William Griffin have a daughter named Permelia Griffin
or did any of his sons? My Permelia Griffin was born abt
1813 and married a Hiram Hardin. I believe they mainly
lived around Marion County, Ms. She died about 1840.

Harmon GRIFFIN could certainly have been a son of William
GRIFFIN. The earliest I found William in Jefferson Co. TN
was 1800. So, he could have been in NC when Harmon was born.

Harmon Griffin was born about 1797 in NC. He married Anne (Amy) Hensley on December 22, 1817 in Jefferson County, TN. Could he have been a son of William Griffin?
