My Jacob Haine b. c 1787 married Elizabeth Emerick in Ohio, 1818. He disappears from view about 1848-49. His wife is buried in Junction City, OH. She died 1854. I don't know if any of this fits your query, except the name. Let me know what you think.

Thanks,

Chuck

Thanks for responding. Some interesting similarities of dates and places, but my ancestor Jacob was b. 1787 in NC, married Catherine Lowman 1828 in Clark Co., OH. She was b. 1802 in Adams Co., PA. They both died in Calhoun Co., IA., she in 1871, he in 1886. Can you tie any of that info. into your family?

My Jacob was from Pennsylvania and settled in Junction City, Perry County, OH. It looks as if these are two separate Jacob Haines. I am having trouble documenting my Jacob's birth and death. I have a lot of history inbetween but not the bookends.

Thanks for your reply,

Chuck

I have had recent contact with the Ryan family in Junction City. They may look for the family Bible as Mrs Ryan said that there were two Bibles in the basement. Get in touch with me and I will let you know if I hear more. Do you have any new information as to where our Haines came from before they moved into Ohio?

Marleen, thanks for your persistance. I am remiss in keeping in touch. The last trip that we made to Ohio was in July, 1999. We took my Father to Junction City, Logan and over to Caldwell where is Reaneys lived. He passed away 2/15/2002 and I am so happy that he enjoyed the trip!

We have been in contact with Bob Haine of Houston, TX, he descends from Jacob>William>T.P.F> and I can't remember his father's name off hand. Anyway, that is the first contact that I have had with one of William's descendants.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Chuck
