The Yungblut board has some bugs in it, the body of replies doesn’t appear and since my original post there I’ve come up with additional info to cross-post to the Jungblut, Jungbluth and Youngblood boards.

Looking for info on the ancestors and their families of Charles D. Yungblut, b. 1871 in Ohio, presumably Washington County. Eight known siblings.

I have some information on some of his siblings, Jacob & wife Marion Logan; Peter & wife Grace Roberts; Bertha & husband George Parks; Maggie & husband Frank Powers.

Charles parents - Johann Peter Jungbluth (used Jungblut and Youngblood after arrival in USA 1856, several children used Yungblut) b. 1836 in Fohren, Rheinland, Preussen; (six known siblings) d. 1895 in Ohio; married to Louisa Wagner, b. abt 1841 in Washington County, Ohio (five known & presumed siblings) d. 1936 in Marietta Ohio.

My info stops at Johann and Louisa’s parents as follow -

Johann - father Michael Jungbluth, b. 1803, Fohren, Rheinland, Preussen; marr. Margaretha Steinmetz, b. 1813, Berschweiler, Rheinland, Preussen; d. presumably in Wheeling, West Virginia. Seven known and presumed children.

Louisa - father John G. Wagner, b. abt. 1804, Prussia; mother Anna D. ?, b. abt. 1813, Prussia. Six known & presumed children.

My great grand-father was August Jungbluth who was originally from Prussia. I believe he was born around 1847 and died in Lanesville IN in 1849.

His son was also named August and moved to Denver CO. His son was Julius.

Do you have any information that can help me regarding August Jungbluth? My first record of him was in Louisville KY in 1871. From there on I know his history.

Hi,
Have looked through all of my records, etc., and can't find anything on the Jungbluts you're looking for. My Jungblut family that came over seems to have settled in W. Virginia & Ohio areas; interesting yours made it to IN - close proximity but I can't provide a tie to our two families. Our info stops with/at my ggg grandfather Michael Jungblut; we have an approximate birth date and no death date but that must be prior to 1856 when my family came to the USA.

I'm starting to think that August was not his actual name. I haven't been able to find his immigration information or anything else prior to his arrival in Louisville in around 1871.

Also I know he was buried in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetary in Lanesville, but accordin to church records he was not a member of that or any other Lutheran church. The St. John's office secretary said she can't understand how he was buried there. Normally that would not have been allowed.

Do you have a Jungblut famly tree with Ancestry. If you do I would appreciate being invited to see it.

Thank You,
Carol Vanderhoff
