Hi, looking for ancestors of my grandmother Delina L'Ecuyer. She was born in the Fitchburg, MA area on 9-7-1904 and died in Fitchburg, MA in October of 1984. I believe her parents were immigrated from Canada, P.Q. but not sure what area. She had 2 brothers one named Raymond, the other name I don't know. Sisters were five I believe, Berthine, Mary, Jeannette, Georgiana and Leona. Any help in where to start my search is appreciated.

Hi Mark,

I live in the Lowell area and my mother's maiden is Lecuyer. I checked on Delina while I was looking up info on my mother's line. Delina's parents are listed as Arthur Lecuyer and Delina Bedard on her birth record. (Vol. 544, Page 292)
Arthur Lecuyer (age 25) married Delina Bedard (age 21) on 23 June 1900 in Fitchburg.(Vol.502, page 256)
Arthur's parents are listed as Louis Lecuyer and Menegile? Hebert.
Delina Bedard's parents are listed as Flavien Bedard and Delina Gingras.

My mother's line came from the L'Acadie, St. Jean County, Montreal area of Canada. I have not as yet been able to connect Delina or her parents to my mother's line. Did you get a listing from the cemeteries in Fitchburg of the Lecuyers buried there? I find that very useful in connecting family members and obtaining death/burial dates.
Why don't you send me your e-mail address and I'll let you know if I find any more information.

Best Regards,
Sue Perry

My grandfather's name was Arthur Lecuyer. My father Roland Lecuyer, had two siblings, Ruby Roger, also a lot of step siblings. They are originally from the Lowell, MA area. If this rings a bell with you, let me know.

Looking for Arthur Lecuyer who was in the Coast Guard stationed on the "Pollack Rip" lightship off Chatham in the early 1960s.

I mistakely wrote in my other posted message that my father had a lot of step brothers and sister. It should have read 1/2 brothers and sister, not step.
