I don't have any Michigan specific information on the Kime family, but if you are ever looking fo0r southern Indiana, I have quite a lot. Curious: are you Kime-related? Jack Kime

Yes I am Kime related they are my first cousins. My Grandmother is a Kime. Her parents are from New York orignally.

Thanks for the reply. I am from southern Indiana. I believe that my branch of the family came originally from Pennsylvania by way of South Carolina, pausing briefly in Kentucky and then crossed the river to New Albany/Jeffersonville areas. I have quite a lot of information on the southern Indiana Kimes. If you ever branch that way, drop a note. Best wishes. Jack Kime

HELLO, I AM KIME RELATED MY FATHER WAS ADOPTED BY DELONG'S BUT WAS ORIGINALLY KNOWN AS KIME. HIS FATHERS NAME WAS DONALD KIME AND I BELIEVE HE WAS FROM THE MICHIGAN AREA, MAYBE SOME OTHER SURRONDING STATES. I WAS JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHAT NATIONALITY THE KIME FAMILY NAME CAME FROM. I HAVE HEARD DUTCH. THERE IS A WOMEN IN MONTANA I RECENTLY CHATED WITH WHO HAS A JELLY COMPANY NAME ANNIE KIME, HER HUSBANDS FATHER SAID HE WAS TO BELIEVE THAT IN THE MONTANA AREA WAS THE ONLY KIME'S AND THAT IT WAS DUTCH, FROM HOLLAND I BELIEVE.

There are two possible origins of the Kime family name: German is most likely if the spelling is Keim or Kime, English is most likely if the spelling is Kyme. My own family, as far as I have been able to determine came from an area in Germany near the French border called Trier. Most of the Kimes in this country who came from Pennsylvania are from a family that came from Trier in the 1700's. I have quite a lot of Kime family information although I was not very systematic when collecting it. I will be glad to share it with you if you wish. My Kime family is from Ulster County,(Saugerties area) of NY. My parents were Richard and Louise Kime and his parents were Herman and Augusta. That is about where I stop with info. My great grandfathers name might have been George. Anyone with Ulster Cty NY connections please let me know. Thanks

My name is Terry Kime Brundage and I live in Holt, MI. My father, who I belive is still alive, lives in Indianapolis, IN. This is about all I know about my family heritage. I anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
