Is there any information about the origin of us on plantations and any documentation of where we were located. I know it is a hard endeavor but any information would be most helpful. Thanks
Kimberly Eason.

Kimberly,

I have Eason's connected to the above surnames in Gates County, North Carolina. I have not yet located a specific plantation. I connect thru the Eason-Hobbs line more closely than the others, although it too is a collateral line for me.

My main Gates County line is Hofler-Hobbs. What is your Eason connection........??? I may have census data that may help you.

I'm sorry I can't help you........my Eason's seem to have all originated in North Carolina in the early 1800's. Some may have been transported to Alabama when cotton became king and more slave labor was needed. I have not documented any of my Eason lines as participants in this forced migration.

Yes! I am still interested and would greatly appreciate any info. My grandmother Cora and her sister Leomie married brothers Allen and Jake who were also Easons. Please write back. These weddings were in the early 1900 and 1920's. Allen's mother's name was Hester, his sister Adelaine. He also had another brother name Doll. They all lived in Gates County. My grandmother lived on RFD 1. Thanks so much!

Hello. I stumbled upon this site and I too have Eason relatives from Gates County, NC (Sunbury). My maternal grandfather is an Eason. His parents Rosa and Abraham Eason did live in Gates County. RFD 1 sounds really familiar. That is as fa back as I know.

Wow...This is close, Sunbury is near Hobbsville. Is it possible to do some more investigation? If youwant to contact me, feel free to do so. I am looking at the late 1800's. Most likely there are 2 sets of Easons, although my grandmother married into another set of Easons, This is very interesting.

My Easons lived in the Hobbsville/Gatesville area of Gates County. We can talk to see if we have any relatives in common.
