I received a birth certificate for Ernest Gray Langdon born 1908 at Holborn, London, England.
His parents are ERnest Gray Langdon and Emily Eleanor Vernon Langdon.
Is anyone searching this family? I am interested in any connection to GRAY, VERNON and LANGDON.
Thank you.

Hi,

Ernest Gray Langdon was my Grandfather, born 1885. He and Emily Vernon had eight children. Ernest jr was one of twins. He died in his first year. The other twin, Edward lived into his 70s I think. My father was Archibald Albert Langdon. 1912 - 1993

Cheers

Doug

Hello Doug,
Nice to hear from you. I have been trying to connect the GRAY surname to my LANGDON.
I have not seen an Archibold in my tree, but that does not mean I won't when I get back farther.
I sent to the GRO for those certificates because GRAY was a middle name to a Langdon.
My grandfather had a brother Percy Thomas Gray Langdon.
My great grandfather had a brother Herbert Gray Langdon.

I will look up what I have and email you direct as my email has changed. Thank goodness this came through.

Hi Nancy,
I have a link, unconfirmed by me, to the Gray family through Ernest's mother.
Mabel Eliza Gray married John Langdon in about 1880. She came from Ospringe near Faversham in Kent. Her father was John Gray 1827 who married Eliabeth, both from Ospringe. Mabel's siblings were Sabina, 1865, William, 1855, Thomas, 1852 and Emily, 1850.

I have a feeling that this is not the connection you want as it isn't old enough.

Cheers

Doug
