Here's hoping my Isaac P. Sickles matches in with your line. Your Peter Garrett caught my eye. My Isaac P. Sickles is to be related to a George Garrett b-29 Sept., 1800 in Maugerville, New Brunswick, Canada. The fact that the name Garrett and the initial P. in Isaacs' name finds me hoping you may have my lost link. My Isaac was born in 1805 in New York State and married a Laura Brown in Russia Twp, Herkimer Co., New York-then moved to Ontario, Brant Co., abt 1836.

It's a long shot but any info would surely be greatly appreciated as I am at a standstill with Isaac P. Sickles.

Thankyou Christine Ghesquire

Hi Christine,
Thanks so much for taking the time to send me this info.
I'll have to go over this a few times to get it all straight.
Not sure if I mentioned this before, but the Peter Sickle that married Jane Rosburgh is my line. This is the one that I am stuck on. Could you tell me where you got your info.? (I also have a Van Sickle on my Granny's side - related to Rynier) By the have Peter Van Sickle that married Lillian g-grandfather - had son James and daughter Annie as well. My grandfather was son Peter.
I'm interested in the Peter with son Elias...who had a few childen - '15'!! This would be the right area of N.J. for a connection to mine and wonder if this Peter didn't also have a son Peter.
I have a record of Isaac Van Sickle buried in St. George. I will look it up and see if this is the same as your listing of Isaac and wife Laura and get back to you.

Thanks again for your time. Let me know if you find any more on your Isaac.

Hello Deborah,

Sure hope the info I sent you helps in some way. I have not made any connections with my Isaac P. Sickles and the names I gave you. Probably connected somehow, someway. I would sure appreciate it if you could look up the Isaac you have from St. George. I'm sure the info I need is looking me right in the face but just can't seem to piece it together. There was an Isaac Sickles born 1805 (same year as my Isaac) in Fayette, Pennsylvania, US. Parents were Ephraim Van sickle and Anna Robinson. I truley do not know if this is my Isaac. Any help would sure be appreciated.
You asked where I got my info from. Mostly on the message boards on the Internet-Genforum, etc. Like I say just be careful of the info as their could be some errors as I have not found records to back the info up as of yet.

Bye for now, Christine
