March 1842 in Canada,as were his parents.The
family came to the U.S. in 1847.During the
civil war he and his brother came to N.O.,La.
He married Madelene Falorsi in 1870 at St.

christened. He moved to Tangipahoa parish in

parents were, where in Canada he came from, and
where in the U.S. they moved to before Thomas

My ggrandfather, Felix Blanchard, b. 1846 somewhere in Canada is also a mystery. I wonder if they might be of the same family. Felix m. Jeanette Mosher or Mozier in upstate NY, probably late 1860's or 1870's. They had three children that I know of; Zoe, Ellie (possibly Eleanor or Ella) and Charles Henry (my grandfather, b. 1884). I am searching every possible record to try to find out where Felix was born in Canada or to find his parents names. If you have any other info would like to share. Perhaps together we might be able to solve this mystery.

I am looking for Philemon's father's name--
I submitted an inquiry to New Orleans for batismal records -- but I have not found any leads.
Is this post from Arthur's son?

Can't find where we connect yet. My Blanchard connection is with Marie Clementine Blanchard, (Born) April 17, 1828 in Plattenville, Assumption Parish, Louisiana and (died) CIR. 1900 in Gretna, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. She married in Assumption Parish, La. on February 21, 1848, to Barthelemy (MIMI) Fabre. They later moved to Berwick, La. South of Morgan City, La. then to Barataria, La. So you may want to check the records at the Assumption Parish Court House in the town of (I think) Napolianville, Louisiana or the surrounding churches. I'm sorry I can't be of any more help. But if I find out more, I will surley let you know.
