William HICKS was of Balto. Co., by June 1693, when he purchased 200 acres of Friendship from Michael & Jane JUDD. On 24 Apr. 1706, Wm., Jane, & James HICKS witnessed the will of Israel SKELTON. He administered the estates of Thomas SMITH & John PARKER, 5 July 1708. He made his will 11 Nov. 1710, pr. 30 Dec. 1710, naming wf. Jane as exx. & leaving land equally to sons Wm., Jas., Nehemiah, & Henry. Jane is probably the one who m. 28 Oct. 1713, Thomas CUTCHIN.
Wm. HICKS (s/o Wm. 1) m. Ann _. On 14 May 1730, as eldest son of Wm. HICKS, decd., he was of Kent Co., Delaware, when he sold to Erick ERICKSON. He had at least one son, Wm., b. 10 Mar. 1714.
James HICKS (s/o Wm. 1) m. Margaret, widow of _ STANDIFER. Bond was posted on the estate of James HICKS, 4 Apr. 1732, by Wm. STANDIFER, the widow Margaret having relinquished in favor of her son (Wm. STANDIFORD, 16 Aug. 1734).
Nehemiah (s/o Wm. 1) m. 12 Je. 1725, Philizanna HITCHCOCK, d/o Wm. In 1750, Nehemiah owned 100 acres Timber Hall & 100 a. Haile's Forest. Nehemiah's will was pr. 2 Oct. 1769. He named Philizanna & ch. Abraham, Jacob, Mary, Wm., Isaac, Rebecca, Nehemiah, Philizanna, John, Margaret, & Sarah. Children of Nehemiah:

Balto. Co. Deed Abstracts: Friendship was surveyed 7 May 1685 for Michael JUDD on the north side of Gunpowder River. It was later possessed by Wm. HICKS (MRR:55).

Nehemiah HICKS surveyed 1719, 100 acres, Hicks Adventure. On 3 Mar. 1730/1, with consent of Philis, he conveyed it to Henry HICKS. On 12 Oct. 1751, Wm. ROBINSON, with consent of Temperance, conveyed to Laban OGG. In 1765, David MALSBY conveyed to Charles BAKER.
Timber Hall was surveyed for Alexander McCOMAS, who conveyed to Wm. HITCHCOCK, Sr. On 6 Mar. 1727 & 8 Aug. 1733, Wm. HITCHCOCK conveyed to dau. Philizanna, wf/o Nehemiah HICKS (IS:I:57 & IS:L:410).
