Is Ducharme the maiden or married name and where do you think she was from?

Rose- Philomena's last name Ducharme I believe would be her maiden name and from Montreal. I have a marriage cert. of a Delia Saron marrying a John Veio 1883. I wrote the Quebec Ministry and they said Delia Saron was Philomena born Feb. 6, 1869 at St. Jean de Matha. This would mean she was 14 at marriage yet the certificate I have says she was 18. I am trying to find info on my ancestors (Veio).

Since there are many DUCHARME's in North America, you may be interested in checking out our photo album, which begins with JOSEPH DUCHARME, who was from the province of Quebec, but who migrated to New England, as did many of the family.
Because JOSEPH had 3 wives and children with each of them, who knows, we may be related. So, just go to:
Do sign our GUESTBOOK so that we may have an idea of who is searching for whom and from where.
Thanks and good luck in your search!

I cant believe I found a site with this name on it. Philomene Ducharme is my grandmother, I have a picture of her. She was part Flat Head Indian and married to Albert Trahan, from the area of St. Ignatius Montana. I am looking for any information on her. I dont know what her middle name was of if this is even the same person. Thanks!

my gg grandmother was also named Philomene Ducharme, birthdate about 1850.I also do not know her middle name.

Married to Hugh Quigley, she was originally from Quebec(?) and they lived in N.Dakota and Montana, where my grand parents and parents are from.
Have you located any more info since your last post?
I am wondering if there may be some relation.
thank you,
Connie McLaughlin

Hi Connie,

It appears we are related, as Philomene Ducharme and Hugh Quigley are my great grandparents. Both were born in Ontario although Philomene's family had moved there from Quebec where the Ducharmes had lived since the 1660's. Hugh's parents emigrated from Ireland approx 1830. Hugh and Philomene emigrated to the Grand Forks area in the 1870's, where my grandfather Thomas Hugh Quigley was born who later emigrated to Saskatchewan and founded our branch of the family. I have some electronic data other relations with genealogy interests have turned up if you are interested. Am I correct that you are descended from Bertha Alice Quigley who married Ralph Davis McLaughlin?
