Interested in finding anyone related to Francesco (Frank) Paolini. He was born Dec.24,1882 in Meldola (Teodorano) Italy (near Bologna). He came to U>S>A in about 1911 and lived in NYC. While in Meldola married Virginia Grassi. She came to USA a few years later with sons, Ermenegildo and Santo(i). She and Francesco had several other children Guillio,Ulysses,Lena,Domenica. Ermenegildo married a woman named Helen. They had atleast 3 children..Mary,Vincent & Frank.

I am the daughter of Frank Paolini and the Granddaughter of Frank and Helen Paolini. My Father Frank was one of I believe 7 or eight children, he was the twin brother of Vincent Paolini. He had a sister named Edith, another brother James I will pull all the other names as I find them. Came across this today by accident I am planning a trip to Italy and one thing led to another. My Father was born June 3,1928 to Ermenegildo (Frank)Paolini and Helen Denning? in NYC. My Grandparents later left NYC moved to Tampa Fla. where they both passed away some years ago. My father also passed. I am excited about this can't think clearly will wait for a response as I call my mother to collect the rest of info we have.

There seems to be some confusion between two different lines of Paolini’s.
Frank &Regina and then Franasesco & Virginia. Ermengildo was my grandfather who was married to Helen (denning). They had Frank and Vincent (twins), mary, Edith (my mother) then Gerald and Jerry. They both seems to arrive in New York just years apart and shares many similarities including some children names. Franseco and Virgina also had a son named Ermenegildo (my grandfather spelled his Ermengildo) and they both each had another daughter named Lena, but the rest of the children seem to be different. In reading some of your past emails you seem to be indicating that Fransesco and virginia (your great grandmothers sister had the same children)? I can tell you this about my grandfather Ermengildo. After grandpa got married they live with his parents for several years and even had their first 3 children there. Grandma (Helen) was not happy about the situation as she grew had grown up in an orphanage since she was a baby and wanted very badly to be in her own house. I spent many day talking to her before she passed away getting her to reminisce about her past until she was tired of talking to me. Unless there was some sort of name changes or children from previous mates. It does not seem that Fansesco and Virgina are related to Ermengildo and Helen? Maybe you have new information and we can correspond? There sure seems to be a few strange similarities here though. I can find a passage for virgina grassi in 1915, but could not find one for Frank and Regina ( supposedly 1911 for him and 1913 for her). Although the 1930 censes is pretty specific about the "Frank and Regina" household. Ermengildo was born in Italy but the rest of his sibling where born in New York. Maybe we are still related? Hope to hear from you.

My mother was Edith so you are my cousin. I am working on a large comprehensive family tree that maybe we can collaborate on. Ther seems to be some confusion on grandpa's spelling. It is almost alwys listed as Ermengildo not ermenegildo , which I think was possibly part of another family. (Frnasesco and Vriginia (grassi.) Are great granparents should be Frank and Regina(the names are really close). (listed specifically in the 1930 censes) Also having some issues with grandma Helen. She grew up in an orphanage and I know a little bit about her as I spent some time with her after grandpa died and she was in a nursing home. Uncle jerry was taking care of her. Her paternal father lived close by when she was young but not sure if the denning name was her mothers or her fathers name. Have alot more info as I am sure your mother does. She is one of the people I wanted to call in the future. Was her name Molly, beacuase I have a Molly listed by itself in my mothers address book? Hope to hear from you.
