BLUEFIELD, Va. - On January 10, 2010, Frank W. Lambert, 88, passed away at home, and joined his Angels to be with God and his beautiful wife of 61 years. Frank served his country in World War II. He was in active military duty for the Army for a period of four years. He was very proud of this, and often told amusing and heartfelt stories of his time spent traveling during his time serving. He was also a member of the Local Bluefield, Virginia VFW for many years. Frank lived with his family and worked at Leatherwood Farm for many years of his life. He was very dedicated, and found joy in the farming and loved having the blessing of sharing this lifestyle with his family. He had the opportunity to construct a Country Club in Rockville, Md. and soon thereafter worked to construct and maintain the Fincastle Country Club in Bluefield, Va. until his retirement. He was a loving husband and father and passed on his immense knowledge of everything to anyone who was willingto try. In fact, everyone that knew him called him "Pops," and in turn, he called his women friends "Sis." Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by his soulmate and wife, Pauline L. Lambert; and by his infant daughter, Theresa June Lambert. He was also preceded by his parents, Harless C. and Maggie Lambert, and by four brothers and three sisters. Frank is survived by three sisters and one brother. He is survived by three sons, Danny Lambert, Larry Lambert, and Frank Lambert, Jr. of Bluefield, Va.; and by one daughter, Brenda Lambert Monaco of Lewes Beach, Del. In addition, Frank is the proud grandfather of three grandchildren, Danny Lambert, Jr. of Bluefield, Matthew Hoopes of Wilmington, Del., and Amanda Beth Stadler of Lewes Beach, Del. Also he was blessed with three great-grandchildren, Taylor Marie Cirillo, Kaleb Stadler and Emily Stadler, all of Lewes Beach, Del. A celebration of life for Frank will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Rodriguez FuneralHome in Bluefield, Va. Friends may call from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at which time the ceremony will be held. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery. Dr. Allen Hammond will be officiating the service. A memorial service will be conducted by the VFW 9696 of Bluefield, Va. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. BLUEFIELD, Va. - Danny Ray Lambert Sr., 64, of 127 High St., Bluefield, Va., passed away, on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital in Salem, Va. He was born in Bluefield, W.Va., and was a son of the late Frank Lambert and Pauline Fields Lambert. Danny was a Vietnam War Veteran serving with the U.S. Army, was retired from the Norfolk & Southern Railroad and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his son, Danny Ray Lambert Jr. and wife, Elizabeth of Princeton, W.Va.; brothers, Bert Lambert of Bluefield, Va. and Frankie Lambert of Tazewell, Va.; and sister, Brenda Lambert of Delaware.

In honoring his wishes he has been cremated and there will be no services.

Dudley Memorial Mortuary in Bluefield, Va. is serving the Danny Ray Lambert Sr. family.

On December 23, Pauline Lambert, 80, continued her spiritual journey to join God in paradise after a short illness in Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was born June 2, 1929 to the late Jettie Elizabeth and James J. Fields in Bluefield, Va. Pauline had an amazing ability of making people feel special, whether a stranger or family. She is well known for her knowledge of plants, and her willingness to teach and help others learn to grow the flowers, trees and shrubs that will always bless us. She also loved animals and sheltered many over the years.She never encountered a stranger, and will be remembered as "my Mom" to many people and relatives. Pauline was a devoted wife to her husband, Frank of 61 years, and she was kind, nurturing and inspiring to her children and grandchildren. To her, these were the most important roles that she fulfilled in life. She will be so dearly missed, and will live on in our hearts, as well as in blooms in the spring, the autumn leaves, the summer sky, and the winter snow. She found beauty in all of these. Pauline was preceded in death by a daughter, infant Theresa June Lambert; stepbrothers and sisters, John, Perry, Avery, Estelle, Gertrude, Nannie, Annie and Marie (Burchett); and also preceded by brothers, Carl and Eulice (Fields). Pauline is survived by her husband, Frank Lambert, Sr.; her sons, Danny Lambert, Sr., Larry Lambert, and Frank Lambert, Jr. of Bluefield; and daughter, Brenda Lambert Monaco of Delaware. She was also the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Danny Lambert, Jr. of Bluefield, Matthew Hoopes of Wilmington, Del., also Amanda Beth Stadler; and a very proud great-grandmother of Amanda's children, Taylor Cirillo, and Kaleb and Emily Stadler, all of Lewes Beach, Del. She is also survived by a sister, Viola Johnston of Falls Church, Va.; and a brother, Vernon S. Fields of Bluefield, W.Va.; her niece, Joyce Grubb; and several other nieces, nephews, and other relatives that were special and of great importance in her life. A celebration of life for Pauline will be held on Monday, December 28 at 2 p.m. at the Rodriquez Bluefield Funeral Home of Bluefield, 210 S. College Ave., Bluefield, VA 24605. Friends may call Monday, December 28 from 12 noon until 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Bluefield, Va. Dr. Allen Hammond will be officiating the service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.In lieu of tears, all flowers are welcome. Rodriguez Bluefield Funeral Home, Bluefield, Va. is serving the Lambert family.
