Eliza and James had Peter LeCain Wright, born 10/15/1865 in Lake LaRose, Annapolis County. Peter LeCain Wright is buried in Fairview United Church Cemetery in Annapolis County. Eliza's parents are Peter LeCain (b.1800 in Annapolis Township) and Mary Sarah Tomlinson. They married on 1/18/1824 at St. Luke's, Annapolis Royal. They had 6 children. Peter's parents were William LeCain and Sarah Henshaw. And William's parents were Francis Barclay LeCain and Elizabeth Foster, his 2nd wife. Let me know if you need more.
Hello, I have just recently discovered that I descend from Francis Barclay LeCain and his first wife Alicia Maria Hyde. Other than they settled in N.S. ( Annapolis), that Francis was born in Isle of Jersey and Alicia is the only daughter of Thomas Hyde, I really know nothing more. Would you have information going back?
Gail, You are bouncing around all kinds of names that are in the family I am researching: LeCain - Barclay.
I am looking for Charles L. Cain or Charles LeCain (abt.1783-1826) who married Maria Eliza MENCE (abt.1791-1862). Both are buried at Round Hill, St. Paul's Parrish of Rosette Anglican Graveyard, Nova Scotia.
Charles and Maria's daughter Margaret married Robert Spurr and they named one of their sons, Barclay LeCain Spurr.
You post is very interesting with your mention of BARCLAY.
I am looking for Maria Eliza Mence's father's given name. I know he was a Colonel in the British Army and was killed at the Battle of Vinegar hill. I believe Maria's father was Rev. Benjamin Mence of All Hallows Hall, England.
Anything sound familiar?
I hope we can piece these two (seemingly related) families together.

Would Katie Lecain Estrella please contact me re: this thread? My wife's grandmother was Goldie Lecain Wright of Nova Scotia (viz Peter Lecain Wright et al) but we know nothing of the familiy's details. Anything you could tell us would be welcome. We know there were a lot of family in Massachusetts not many generations ago...
Anyone know anything about Peter Lecain Wright's wife Lucy?
Maiden name? Date/Place of birth? Parents? Date/Place/Cause of death?
