Hi Karen, here is another obituary for you, for your Aunt Sadie.

The Chronicle-Herald/The Mail-Star Published: 09/23/95
Page: D27
BEAVER, Sadie Patricia - 71, Lower Sackville, died September 22, 1995, in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Stewart and Alice (Perrier) Martin. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton Roman Catholic Church and Marion Helpers Society. Surviving are her husband, Charles; daughter, Carol (Mrs. Jack Graham), Lower Sackville; son, Ken, Lower Economy; sister, Mrs. Georgina Beaver, Lower Sackville; brothers, Earl, Toronto; Ralph, Dartmouth; four grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Clarence, Lester, Arthur. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday in St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Charles Burke officiating. Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to The Arthritis Society.

I have tried to find a death date or obituary for either Stewart or Alice. Nothing for Stewart but I think Alice is in the same plot as Lester and Arthur, as I found an Alice M Martin, age 68, died Aug 23, 1957, born in Newfoundland. Again you would need to contact the Library if you wanted to see if an obituary was printed.

Best of Luck,
Dorothy

AHA! I found the marriage registration for Stewart & Alice, they were married in 1919 and he was from Ship Harbour (Halifax County), His parents are William Martin & Annie and in 1919 William was a stevidore, (so was in Halifax to work).

Alice was from Newfoundland, so that would be her burial in 1957. Stewart was Charles Stewart Martin and I found him with his family in Ship Harbour on the 1901 & 1911 censuses. (Spelled Stuoard in 1911 and under Charles in 1901)

Here is the link to the marriage on www.novascotiagenealogy.com, if you don't have Zoomify you will need to download it (right on this site) to see the image.
https://www.novascotiagenealogy.com/ItemView.aspx?ImageFile=...

From this point I checked a book I have on Ship Harbour families (by R K Stevens), William Martin married Ann Eddy, April 21, 1890, she was the daughter of James Henry Eddy and Charlotte Ann Clattenburg.

William was the son of John Martin who came from Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland (son of John Martin & Mary McFarlane) and Susan Monk, his second wife (d/o John Monk & Amelia Zong).

I know that doesn't give you any leads on your second cousins, but maybe some of your 3rd or 4th will find you from this message.

Have a great day,
Dorothy
