I believe I am a descendant of Prince Skiff. Lydia Skiff and James Skiff were neighbors in Pomfret, NY 1820.

Thanks, Frank. Do you have anything on James P Skiff's mother, Lovina Smith? His aunt, Lydia Skiff Harrington, had a daughter Harriet who married into Smith's of Arkwright. I was curious if they were related.
Until recently, I had her first name as Lovina and no last name. I think someone else at Ancestry had a last name for here aJames and Levina lived near Cambridge Springsnd showed her as Levina "Mina" Smith. In my notes I show that James and Levina Skiff, the parents of James P. Skiff, lived near Cambridge Springs, PA.
For Lydia Skiff Harrington, for her husband, I have Jabez Harrington and a son, Hiram who was born 1819.
For your James P. Skiff, son of James P. Skiff, I have him married to Almina Chase. Their children include Charles Griphen Skiff born 1850 and Electa Skiff born 1868. That's quite a gap of birth dates. Charles married Nellie S. and they had Pearl Skiff in 1888. Electa married James Parsons.
Regarding your James P. Skiff's siblings, I have seven, the oldest being William. There are descendants of William Skiff in Erie, PA. My line descends from William's brother Charles
who was a blacksmith and married Phidelia Davis. My Erie cousin sent me a photograph of Charles and Phidelia a few years ago.
