Hello, Carolyn:

My maiden name is Hendrix. My grandfather, William Laborn Hendrix, was a tenant farmer in Dothan, Alabama, after the loss of homesteaded lands. My father's name was William Brady Hendrix. I am interested in finding out more about the Hendrix roots. If you wish to know more, let me know. I do not know much more than my late grandfather and grandmother, but I do have the names of their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Well, I haven't checked this list in some time, so I'll update my search for Grandaddy Mack's family. I located them in February of 2001, in Geneva County, Alabama. McSewell HENDRIX m. Jane WILKERSON, had 5 children, and died in July of 1864, in Ga. He was conscripted into the CSA. This line goes back to pre-1700, Hendricksey HENDRICKS came over from the Netherlands, Denmark.
