Hello, I am in search of information about my ancestors from the time of the 1600's and 1700's. If anyone can give me some information or point me in the right direction, my goal is to find out how my lineage traces back to Spain.

I am researching:

Gen. Blas de la Garza Falcón, twice governor of Coahuila, married to Beatriz de Villarreal.

Thank you for writing Harry !
I am really interested in finding out about any relations that our family might still have in Spain. I have been very fortunate to find out information about Blas once here in Texas. Do you go to the family reunions? Take care God Bless, Yvonne

I also have De la Garza Falcon in my pedigree going way back into Texas history.

You can find this informatin at this Web Site;

The [~]symbol can be had by holding down the [alt] buton and at the same typing [126]. Just in case you didn't know. Please drop me a line and let me know what you find. I did not know that he was Governor of Coahuila, thanks for the information. my e-mail is; rjvill@inreach.com

"LOWER RIO GRANDE VALLEY/NORTHEAST MEXICO GENEALOGICAL RESEARCH". Scrooldow till you reach the HEADING - "SOUTH TEXAS / NORTHEAST MEXICO GENEALOGIES-Surnames underlined". Go to article #15 there you will find the information.

Good Luck

Hi Rodolfo !
Thank you for the lead. The more I look, the more I find endless resources of information about my ancestor's after they arrived in Texas.
Even historian's at a local University seem in awe when discussing the heritage.
I have changed my search criteria since I have visited Spain. I want to keep looking and find out "How" the Falcon ancestor's got sent here. "Who" were their family in Spain and "What" part are they from?
I apologize because I know this may sound weird but there are extremely overwhelming traits of those related to specific branch of the Falcon family. Facial characteristics, lifestyle, mannerisim's, and talent.
I believe the further back I go in my research, the closer I may get to finding out about the branch I am decended from. I also have a posting on a geneology forum under Spain.
Can't give up !
Yvonne

Hi Yvonne,

I must say this in all honesty, the families today can not comprehend their ancestors, because they/we have evolved into another class of human. We have forgotten our Illustrious family histories and so can not accept at times the truth that reflects upon our ancestors. We see in the movies how the nobles of our ancient homeland Spain, carried themselves. Proud, confident, intelligent, wealthy, and very picky as to whom or what family that they would marry into.

Most people look at it like a fairy tale, it's like it's to fantastic and unbelievable that they think of it as a legend. They can not seem to accept it as the life style of their ancestors, because, they are not like them. I was fortunate to have received an oral history on my ancient ancestors, going back before Julius Caesar. So my research has been on the ancients, and not of today. If you are a Falcon descendant then you come from Nobility. These very same Noble line go way back to descend from Royality.

If Falcon derives from the line that I think that they do, then dear you are in for one heck of a surprise. I believe that the name Falcon derives from the Sicilian Royal family of Falconari, descended from Kings, whom themselves descended from Titus Emperor of Rome. Titus and the Jewish Princess Bernice the sister of Agrippa King of Judea, the descendants of Herod the Great King of Judea and Mahraiani Princess of the Hasmonian line descendant of Simon Macabee, King of Damascus.

I don't know whether you will be able to grasp on to this kind of history and accept it. It is very hard for the people of today to think that they could possible come from such lines, But we all came from somewhere and if we derive from Noble lines then more thn likely we descend from Kings.

The nobles of years ago would not even consider marrying beneath their station, NEVER HAPPEN. They only married noble to noble, most marriages were fixed by the parents. There was none of this "But mom I love him, bull". You could not marry just anyone, it had to be to someone of equal station or better.

Always remember this and keep it upper most in your mind. The kings of this world only gave "Grants" to their relatives, and they had so many that it was a job for a king to provide positions just for the family members, let alone outsiders.

So if your ancestor was from Noble lines and was appointed to positions like Governor, then you can bet your bottom dollar that way back there somewhere he connects to a King.

So in closing, I am making the claim that if at all possible you will find that Falcon derives from Falconari, and "THAT IS HISTORY".

Sincerely
Rodolfo José Vilalba y Gutierrez Aguirre Garcia Escobar Palacios
