Hi, it seems that you may have sources I have not been able to find. Please help me out if you can. From Partenheim I have listed Johannes Wentz married to Anna Katherine Auspach 1650. Their son Freidrich Wentz 1685 married to Mary (Listed Mrs. Mary Wentz 1689. To them three sons - Philip Wentz 1710 (came to Philadelphia with brother Valentine on Loyal Judith 1743) married to Unknown who had son, (information not confirmed but found on GenForum) Frederick Wentz 1730 - 1769 married to Margaret Miller; 2nd son - Valentine Wentz 1717-1788 married to Maria Barbara Jenewein 1727-1788; third son Frederick Wentz 1719 - (Sources LDS Library - so I do not know about their research sources) This son is listed as coming over on the Speedwell 1749 at age 19 but no wife listed.

(Frederick married Margaret Miller (daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Miller) on October 28, 1755 at the old Goshenhoppen Lutheran Church. He was a farmer as were his brothers, Valentine and Philip, and could read and write. Frederick died in 1768 at the age of 38, leaving his wife Margaret and children John Philip, John, Frederick, Valentine, Barbara (who married John Derr) and Margaret. In 1783, Frederick's widow deeded her dower share (one quarter of 150 acres in Upper Salford) to her oldest son, John Philip, for four pounds and ten shillings annually for the rest of her life.")

"John Philip's son, Jacob, was born in 1784. At the age of 27, Jacob received an inheritance of money when his father died in 1811. That same year he purchased a tract of land in Manheim Township in York County, Pennsylvania from his Aunt Barbara's husband, John Derr, for 800 pounds. Jacob was a farmer and could read and write. He married a woman by the names of Maria (Unknown). She lived from 1787 - 1851. In 1850 at the age of 66 he had 600 acres valued at $2000. Jacob and his wife had four children: John, Benjamin, Philip and Jacob. Jacob died in 1869 at the age of 85."

Another source I used Information found in Imm. German ref. Library of Congress Rec. Book 1 p.292
also looked on 47, 194, 517-526. 1084.

I am also looking for more information on this line. Also Peter Wentz, whom I believe was the uncle to the brothers , Philip, Valentine, and Frederick. I need to know the connection - Who was his brother and parents? Peter came over in 1704 and settled near Philadelphia. (Have not confirmed this information)

My family line comes from John Wentz 1807 -1864 married to Susanna Kreidler 1809 -1898. Parents of my ggrandfather, Edward Wentz 1839- 1925. Any sources or help back to Frederick or Peter will be much appreciated.

Your message indicated that one of your ancestors had married a Mary Bowl.

Have you any further information on this, or is it too far out of your line.

Thanks and regards

I am just recently getting aquainted with my Wentz ancesters. Is this the Valentine Wentz who is buried in the cemetary at St. Davids (Sherman's) Lutheran Church just over the state line in Penna about one mile north of the MA state line? Farmed near Linesboro, MD. One of his grand daughters, Catherine, daughter of Adam, married John Ports, my gggg grandfather. So it is apparent that I have a very distant connection with the Wentz family. I was in the area over Thanksgiving and visited grave sites in Manchester, MD. I live in Washington State.
