Surnames: Reynolds, Sharpnack, Crago
My great great grandfather was Jeremiah Reynolds, born here in Greene County, PA.,in 1811.I am only sure of one other sibling, a brother Harvey (Henry) Reynolds, also born here in Greene County, PA., in 1813. The family came from Chester County sometime in the late 1790's. What I do not know is who Jeremiah and Harvey's father and mother were.
Jeremiah married Mary Sharpnack daughter of Samuel and Nancy Crago Sharpnack. Harvey maried Mary Crago and moved on into Ohio around 1849 and then on into Green County, WI.
In 1811 there were only two men here in Greene County that could have been the father of Jeremiah and Harvey---George Reynolds and James Reynolds. George had migrated into Greene County just before the Census of 1800, and James came just before the Census of 1810. I believe that both came from Chester County, PA. George married Rebecca Jones, but James married a woman whose name is unknown.I have no record to prove who the father of these two boys was here in Greene County.
The Reynolds Family were Quakers and I think were connected to Little Britain Meeting House in Chester County and also to a Meeting House in Rising Sun, MD.
Anyone who can help me, I would be most indebt to, for I have reached an impasse.
