Alma Recker - Lismore
Alma H. Recker, 74, Lismore, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 1990, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD.
Born Dec. 16, 1915, in Lismore, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Sassen Recker.
She was educated at St. Anthony’s School, Lismore and was involved in the family farm operation in rural Lismore. She retired and moved into Lismore in 1958. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, the Winona Council of Christian Women, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Lismore Senior Citizens, the Lismore Garden Club and a card club.
Surviving are one brother, Victor Recker, Donnelly; and four sisters, Mrs. Rose (Cletus) Wieneke, Francis Altman, and Mary LeBrun, all of Lismore, and Bertha Dollander, Worthington.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Lismore.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond Redder officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Lismore. The Lynch Funeral Home, Adrian, is in charge of arrangements. (Source: Worthington Daily Globe 8/17/90)
