YANCY, R. C. "BUD" - Funeral services for R. C. "Bud" Yancy, 74, of Andrews TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Faith Lutheran Church in Andrews with Rev. A. D. Kelam, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Andrews Old Cemetery.
Mr. Yancy died Saturday, March 17, at Permian General Hospital in Andrews TX.
He was born July 14, 1926, in Brackettville TX. He served in the U. S. Army in World War II. He married Anita Terry on Jan. 30, 1950, in Lovington, NM. He moved to Andrews in 1948 from Ozona. He had worked for Ralph Lowe Drilling, Foy Boyd Associates, Gulf Oil Company, and retired from Chevron Oil Company. He was a member of the Andrews Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Andrews.
He is survived by: his wife, Anita Terry Yancy of Andrews; two daughters, Jody Streicher-Oxley and Kimberly Yancy of Andrews; two brothers, James Yancy of Stockton, CA and Travis Yancy of Austin; three granddaughters, Kathleen Streicher Lehman of Kansas City, KS, Natalie Suzanne Yancy of Odessa and Laurys Nicole Yancy of Andrews; and one great-grandson, Keegan Dallas Lehman of Kansas City, KS.
