Betty Lou "Nanny" Thomas, 54, the first daughter of Herman and Caldonia Ceasar, Sr. was born in Chataignier, LA on January 12, 1952. passed away in Lake Charles,LA

God blessed Sister Thomas with five children, Becky Thomas, Torrez Ceasar, Porfie Ceasar-Thuku, David Ceasar and Delwyn "Scooby" Thomas.

Serving God was always of great rejoice and passion to Sister Thomas, for she served him faithfully all of her life. In Christ, she inspired and touched many people's lives.

Nanny was a very compassionate and loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She was well known for her words of wisdom, bible scripture and the photographer of events.

God called Sister Thomas to her heavenly reward on March 10, 2006. Those left to cherish her memories and carry on her legacy are five children, Becky Thomas, Torrez Ceasar, Porfie Ceasar-Thuku, David Ceasar, Sr. and Delwyn ?Scooby? Thomas, all of Oklahoma City, OK; her beloved parents, Herman and Caldonia Ceasar, Sr. of Eunice, LA; her five brothers, Herman (late Shirley) Ceasar, Jr., Adam (Elvia) Ceasar, Richard (Yvonner) Ceasar, David (Abigail) Ceasar, and Kenneth (Stephanie) Ceasar, all of Lake Charles, LA; three sisters, Beverly (Jeffrey) Gallow of Lake Charles, Brenda (Greg) Semien and Laura (Jack) Davis, all of Lafayette, LA; eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, relatives, close friends and church family.

Funeral services will be held at The Church at Lake Charles on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 1:30 PM under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Fredrick LaFleur will officiate. Burial will follow at Combre Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the start of the services.
