Sorry. Jean supposedly left Anjou (Anjier, Normandy) around 1760? I don't know where he came INTO the U.S. or when for sure. Took with his sons-George,Guillme,Isaac,Joseph,and maybe Charles- left his wife in France because she and her family were very Catholic. NOBODY knows her name or any info on her. There is still a chateau there-Loire River- with the name (now a bed&breakfast?) and supposedly at least 80 Lafollettes (killed by the Catholics)buried in the cemetary. Nobody seems to have anything from France- there are 2 books I'm trying to get a hold of which might help - L'Historie de la Famille LaFollette en Amerique and Three Thousand Years With The Crusading LaFollettes.
